Think of the apartment space you need for at least 5 years in the future. You want to buy a home that will provide enough space for you and maybe a partner or the entire family. The number of rooms your home will have is essential.

Besides representing "home", an apartment must also be considered an investment, because sooner or later you will move somewhere else and you will want to recover at least the initial investment quantity.

A home must definitely be insured - both natural catastrophes (i.e. earthquakes) and neighbours (i.e. floods) represent a risk. With insurance your investment and natural comfort are protected.

An apartment demands constant maintenance costs (taxes, heating, water, electricity etc.). Thus it is important that these costs must be in concordance with the evolution of your income.

You will or already own a car: the acquisition of a parking space is very important. The parking spaces included in the residential projects offer a great deal of advantages: owner restricted access, easy access to the homes via an elevator if the parking space is underground, for example.

Buying an apartment implies certain juridical procedures. When signing the selling-buying contract, ask the notary about the steps you need to follow to be owned in total legality.

The home surroundings are quite important. It would be a good idea to ask the salesperson about the facilities of the area, the major institutions, means of transport etc.

The building must have an administrator that manages the building in its whole and the common spaces.

You cannot apply modifications to the apartment structure or the building facade (terrace sealing, exterior A/C installation etc.) without legal approval from the respective authority.
