Dissemble everything that can be dissembled, so as to have easier to move boxes.

Have a spacious moving vehicle
Use cardboard boxes and protection wrap.
Fragile objects can be moved separately using expanded polystyrene or protective cotton inside the box.
Pack the small objects first in order to empty the drawers and closets and afterwards duck tape them and make sure they stay closed during the moving process.
If there are big, heavy furniture pieces or just many objects that require moving, call a moving company or transport service approximately 2 weeks before moving to assure that they will be available for your service.
After getting to the new location, first unpack and install the large pieces of furniture, clean up the apartment and afterwards unpack the decorations, tableware, clothing and other. In this way they won't dust up.
